Failed Attempt at Nature Journaling
At the start of the summer, I had lofty ambitions of learning how to do nature journaling. I fantasized that I would hop onto my Elliptigo, early in the morning, with a backpack on my back filled with art supplies and just zip off somewhere to illustrate the flora and fauna around me.
Well, I didn’t get very far. I guess I could use the triple temps as an excuse. I don’t know.
Anyhow, Fred and I got out of Tucson a couple of weeks ago (sans chiens!!!) and headed to Flagstaff in northern Arizona where the high temps were in the low 80’s. While there, we had several biking and hiking adventures that I savored. In an effort to recreate those memories that provided respite from not only the heat but the current chaos we face, I created an illustrated collage with a twist of Zentangle.
Stay cool, stay safe, and get out in nature because it really, really helps!
